I am very inspired by natural shapes and colours, especially those which come from where I grew up, on a farm in a small village called Cloughey. This led me to inspect the different types of plants and flowers and identify which ones are most eye catching to me. For my graduation collection I explore the botanical forms found in my local area. By using dissolvable material, I was able to create and display abstract pieces of artwork, which capture the delicate structure and arrangement of the natural plants by illuminating the surroundings of the plant and concentrating on the configuration in detail. I particularly enjoy the shapes and vibrant shades of the Blue Bell which led me to incorporate this from many different angles, into my final work.
