For more information please CLICK HERE

This event, conceived amidst a radically-altered setting in which to share research and practice, provides a public platform for Belfast School of Art PhD researchers to discuss their work with invited experts and peers. The event will feature a series of talks and discussions around several key themes. These include:

  • The intersections of art and activism, reflecting on current and historical social justice issues globally, and on the island of Ireland, including theoretical and practical reflections on collective action, cultural memory and reform around gender, healthcare, race and representation

  • The mapping, monitoring and articulation of embodied sensation, ranging from chronic pain to sensory perception, reflective of internal (physical) and external (social/cultural/medical/geographical) interpretations

  • Reflections on the places/spaces in which urban populations live, work and play; from accessibility for aging demographics to cultural provision/infrastructure.

Please note, audiences can come and go during the event. There will be breaks throughout. After the event there will be the option to stay on the Zoom for socialising. This event will have Zoom Live Captioning. If you require any access support, please contact the MAC.
